After the success stories of SONY’s handheld gaming console PSP, PS vita will act as the successor for PSP. According to its specs it looks like it is almost equally powerful as a PS3. According to SONY the number of features which are added in it will made it not only a next generation handheld but next generation gaming. Let’s take a closer look at this bold new innovative console.
PS vita is powered by ARM CORTEX A9 core processor CPU. Unlike PSP’s XMB its menu is replaced by Live Area. It has a 5 inches OLED screen with 16:9 ratio and approximately 16 million colours. Now let’s see how it’s going to bring revolutionary gaming. It has a front touch screen and with it a rear sensitive touch panel too. With the rear touch pad you can use your fingers to control the gaming motion and can perform various actions such as scratch, expand, shrink, etc. This would really be handy in various games. It would be loaded with built in microphone and speakers too. It also has sensors and six-axis motion sensing plus 3-axis electronic compass. Also there is good news for the people who were fed up due to regional restrictions in the PSP as VITA will be region free.
